The definition of telemedicine as well as the ways it is used.

Telemedicine is the term used to describe medicine delivered from a distance. It means that you do not need to go to the clinic to see a doctor. Accessing treatment from your phone or laptop wherever you are using your mobile device.

Who can this benefit? for example, a resident in an assisted-living facility with health conditions that persist is able to see the doctor from miles away and without having to leave the residence. Someone who is sick on an oil platform thousands of miles away from the land could be assessed by a doctor via an application called telemedicine. The doctor can decide if they need in-person medical attention. If a child is sick at school could be seen by telemedicine providers in order to not interrupt parents at work or causing them to miss school.

Telemedicine can improve healthcare outcomes and accessibility by allowing patients to be seen earlier rather as later. It also reduces costs as there are no travel requirements.
